Ski Inn

I know this is just over the Bay County line, but it is worth a review. On a recent afternoon, we dicided to take a small trip to one of our favorite places to eat, The Ski Inn, located on compass lake. It takes a little while to get there, the the trip is worth it. Waterfront dining in the Bay County area is becoming more and more limited and pricey.



The Ski Inn sits right on Compass Lake, and has a County atmosphere. Inside and outside seating is available, and on nice, cool afternoons, I recommend a picnic table outside under the covered porch.



On this particular excursion, my sweetie ordered the open face Roast Beef sandwich with mashed 'taters, while I had the 1/2 lb. Burger with french fries. My burger was absolutly delicious, hand pattied, fresh, with all the toppings. I had made the request that my french fries be crispy, and they were perfect. My sweetie consumed here roast beef with a relish.



The only thing I didn't like, was that Jackson County is a "dry" county, and alcohol is not sold on Sundays. This, of course is beyond the control of the Ski Inn. This establisment is one of our favorites, and we go there often. Just don't tell anyone. We prefer to keep this place our "best kept secret" and free of terroristas (tourists).
