KFC is rolling out it's new "double down" sandwich this Monday, and it will be available nationwide.
What is a "double down" sandwich?  Well, for chicken lovers, it is a breadless sandwich, that uses 2 boneless chicken breasts as the bun.
Inside, are two melted slices of Monterey and Pepper Jack Cheese, 2 pieces of bacon and the Colonel's Sauce.
It's the Louisville, Ky.-based chain's first sandwich without bread.  It has a whopping 1,380 milligrams of sodium, which is almost 60 percent of a day's recommended supply.
Nutritionally, the Double Down Sandwich is about the same as a Big Mac -- but saltier.  It will only be available for 6 weeks, and has 540 calories, 32 grams of fat, with 10 grams of that saturated fat, 11 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 145 milligrams of cholesterol and 53 grams of protein.
There is also a version available that uses grilled chicken instead of breaded chicken breasts.
Get it while you can for $5. The combo meal, with fries and a soft drink is $6.99.
